A few notes about Me
I have many interests. I like photography, in particular photographing the little things that people quite often miss. I have slight artistic side. Not one that is worthy of crowing about, but one that keeps me happy and occupied. I have put together a few galleries of my favourite photos.
I enjoy cooking. Some of my recipes can be found here. I also like having a play around with making music on the computer. To the right is a link to my music. You can download one or all of the clips that I have put together. Be sure to have a listen and then let me know what you think. My favourite is 'Spinning in Circles'.
Soon I will be adding a link with my Family History. I have been researching for a few months now and have found it very interesting. Other things I find interesting are reading and writing poetry. I crack my self up every now and when I read a good joke. I will keep the best ones here. Political Correctness, empathy, sympathy and any kind of thoughtfulness is thrown out the window on that page. It is where I let my hair down.
At this point I would like to tell you about an old friend. He is not living and nor did I ever meet him. But we are connected somehow, probably because we are both interested in having a free mind. His name was Nikola Tesla. He is regarded by some as an old crack pot. It is true he did grow old and begin to become fragile in his mind, but to see him this way is to focus on his last few years. His mind was so brilliant that he challenged Einstein on some of his theories relating to Relativity. He was brilliant enough that Eistein replied and discussed his thoughts. Tesla is the father of Alternating Current or AC. His invention of the AC motor revolutionised the industrial world. His patents have been used to build multi billion companies. In fact I would go so far as to say that his patents have generated Trillions of dollars in turnover for many companies. His accomplishments were many in the field of Electrical Engineering. Where Tesla failed I am keen to try and make mends. So where did he fail? It certainly wasn't in his Electrical feats. It was in his understanding of human nature. Quite openly he disregarded his need to understand how business relationships work or even personal relationships. This failing on his part secured his financial insecurity. His interest in giving to the world free electricity, but in particular his native country, caused his falling out with backers on may occassions. He could not see the justice in making money out of bringing the world into the 20th Century so to speak. My tribute to Nikola Tesla my Hero and Friend can be found here.
Another person that I had grown to like was John Ilhan. His attitude toward life and family was a great example. His perserverance and tenacity in business was extreme. Some measure people people by their wealth when inactual fact we should be measuring people by their emotional assets. John was a rich man in both senses but he never forgot his family.
My Greatest Interest
My greatest Interest is that of the Human Mind. Not so much the physical aspects but the Mental. They are both connected but I believe we are at a point in time when we need to explore the mind mentally rather than physically. Only so many answers can be found with a knife and microscope.
myEmote is a compilation of the things I have found in my explorative journey of the mind. I have been on this journey for many years and will continue for as long as I can. A journey into the mind is a fantasic experience. I have found many things that I believe could help people in their understanding of what makes us/them tick. I have found that there is no such thing as a negative emotion. I have found that there are limits to out individuality.
But most important, meEmote is a place where you can come to learn how your emotions work and how you can control them. I will provide exercises for you to follow and information for you to think about. Although I will describe the basic model, it is up to you to complete your own journey.
Eventually, I will put all this together in a book. I aim to have it published in 2008 all going well. The mind is a playground and I love playing in it. Would you fancy a trip there some time?
