My Poetry

As Wrote By Me - Tim Chard

My poetry is is usually spawned by an emotionally charged event. Therefore most of my poems capture a moment in time in my life. I hope you enjoy as I do when I read through them again.

Perfect is our Baby

As Scrawled By Me - Tim Chard

When you were born, you cried,
We looked into your eyes and wondered,
quiet little one, it's all right.
I picked up your soft little hand,
So small and delicate, I compared it to mine.
Checked over, you turned out to be all there,
all of your fingers, all of your toes
even that cute teeny squashed up nose.
Skin so smooth, hair so fine,
What should we call him?
It's a girl dear, thats's her umbilical cord.
Weighed in and washed up,
it's your first feed as Dad watches on.
Snuggle in little one, so beautiful.
Amazing isn't it, hard for to describe.
Cherish this first moment together,
With you perfect little baby,
they grow up, so it won't last long.
